Re: PCN x prismatica

I don't grow aaaannnnyyyy of those.  :-)

I'm waiting to see if my PCN pollen daubing took on my Siberians and/or Murrayana and/or Mysterious Monique and/or versicolor.

I was criticized (in a friendly way) offlist that Cal-sibes already existed and I should grow those to enjoy PCNs.  But the Cal-sibes I've seen I haven't liked.  I mean compared to the PCN hybrids I've seen that knocked my socks off!  Sooooo... I wanted to try making my own Cal-whatever crosses.  (Particularly Cal-prismatcia)

As for missouriensis, I've failed so many times at growing that.  It's so annoying because I have had better success with species from far off lands than with species from next door.  Iris cristata taunts me in that same manner.  I just can't keep it alive.  Harrumph!

Dennis,

Could I suggest trying innominata with missouriensis or lactea?

I have a hunch it might be compatible. I know missouriensis and lactea will cross.
