ï How many times have we heard "never assume".
When I saw the 3rd of 3 bloom stalks open from afar the other day, I assumed it
was the same as the 1st spuria picture I took, and the 2nd stalk as well.
>From afar, it does look like it.
I was assessing this latest rain and wind storm
damage a few minutes ago, and went over to stake a bearded iris that had
fallen over. While I was there, I picked up the 3rd stem to flower, as it
was already bent over from that creature that ran through the entire
clump.
I'm sure my jaw dropped when I saw the faint colour
on this one. The flower is almost finished, but I'll try for a better
picture when the next bud opens.
