I had an I. tectorum growing for 5 or 6 years in
afternoon shade and woodland type soil, natural
leaf mulch in fall from nearby trees, east of
Lake of the Woods. It took several years to
increase to two plants from one. You had to
kneel down near the ground to look at it's 1-3
flowers per year, but the flowers were beautiful.
