Today I harvested a bunch of seeds for the SIGNA exchange.
I collected a wide assortment of Louisianas and Spurias (hybrids). I
also collected bee pods on Iris nelsonii, Iris virginica, Iris
virginica var. shrevei, Iris foetidissima, Iris brevicaulis, Gelasine
elongata, and Tigridia pavonia.
This was the first time in all my years of growing it that Tigridia
pavonia produced bee pods. The only iris I'm still waiting to
harvest is Alophia veracruzana... which to my surprise is still
blooming! Maybe I'll get even more pods off it than I thought.
I had collected alot of seeds of Sisyrinchium sp. (wild collected)
but decided to cast those around my property instead of donating to
SIGNA this year.
