Does someone have the R&I's for '93? This is a Hamblen introduction
IIRC. I asked awhile back if anyone knew when the '90's R&I's would
be collated in a single volume, but I didn't get a response. I will
be the first buyer!!!
Someone else was asking about RHAPSODY IN BLOOM... I don't have the R&I
but I do have the catalog description from Cooley's where it was an
Ernst intro in '93 (another '93 iris). The iris-purple prose reads:
ML 35" -- A lingering melody in your garden, the subtle orchid blends
to a creamy orchid at center. Soft tones of pastel honey shoulder the yellow-
orange beards tipped in white. Even ruffling all around. Seven buds.
I actually find the extra description quite helpful, though I of course
do not need to know that it's a "lingering melody in my garden." :-)
But having detailed descriptions of colours, growth habits, etc.
are very helpful.
