Cutworm, maybe. Sounded a bit high on the stem last time but it is sounding
more probable. Look around on the soil or just under the surface near the
base of the plant for a dull pewter to deep army green caterpiller up to
about an inch and a three quarters long and the diameter of a pencil. Usually
lying on their side looking dead. Do their dirty work at night. Tasco had
some hints once about seeking and destroy the things. Check the Archives.
