Amy, please don't think I am picking on you, but I have to stick my
nickel in on this. One should never rely only on a photograph (only) to
identify a particular iris. Many photos do not accurately portray the
actual colors of an iris. Add to that the fact that many colors show up
differently in different soils and you have a significant problem.
The only way to truly identify an iris is to grow it side by side with
what you think it is and have confidence in the source of your named
iris. The issue is, of course, not giving away an iris that is misnamed
and adding further to the confusion.
Now if you have a list of names and just don't know which one is which,
comparing with a photograph can sometimes be advantageous, especially in
providing a name to confirm to by growing.
