I May of 1998 I made my first crosses, I did not know any better so most of
them were made during a light rain. We had a very wet spring that year. 80 %
of my crosses took. About 40 pods. I did not know at that time to strip the
leaves from the bloom stalk, and lost all but three pods to rotting of the
stalk. One pod was still green and not mature enough but I saved it and
planted seeds any way. Over 50% germination on that pod, best I have had so
far. They should bloom this year.
I have not had that much success with takes since.

I did some SDB crosses last year and they are sprouting now with the warm
spell we just went through. Even have several TB seedlings coming up.

Some SDB's are blooming, one IB is and have bloom stalks on others. Orange
Popsicle has bloom stalks on it.
