Re: RE: CULT: Bloom Report

A few years ago, we got a heavy frost overnight in late May; it was totally
unexpected. The peonies were already over 1 foot tall and setting buds.
When I got up that morning, and saw this around 5am, I watered everything
for about an hour, til the frost disappeared, then had to dash off to work.
There was also no damage. The frost must have arrived only shortly before.

BTW, Bill, I recently got your book "The Gardener's Iris Book". I'll be
recommending it to anyone new to growing irises. I only wish I'd had a book
like this when I was a rooky gardener. The photos are wonderful as well.
