Nell - SONG OF NORWAY is a wonderful iris - stands up, blooms reliably and
heavily, doesn't mind weeds too much or a little bit of shade, and did so
well here in the rot queen/president's garden that when it finally did
suddenly die from rot in an extremely bad rot season, I went out and bought
somemore. It makes a gorgeous clump - I have a tendency to leave well enough
alone if an iris clump is still blooming well - this clump was huge - hadn't
been divided for probably more than 5 yrs, which made it more vulnerable when
rot finally hit - I think with a tiny bit of care (which it did not get), it
would have survived the rot - RASPBERRY RIPPLES and DESERT REALM did,
although I lost most of the clump for both of them. All were about buried
under dense grass. Good irises!
