CULT: ORGANIC SOLUTIONS/cygon/Iris Borer Deterrent

IMHO is cyber-shorthand for IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. To answer the real
question, borers are lavae of a moth that lays eggs in the leaves and litter
of the garden. Keeping the bed clear of all the litter is step one in
eliminating iris borers. If the cleaning stage is not done, the other
methods (Merit, nematodes, Cygon 2e) will have have less effect. Try the
least toxic method first, always. We also have not had to use any toxic
method in four years after becoming great "bed housekeepers!"
