Just a thought... I've noticed in comparing Siberians to Setosas and to Sibtosa groups that while SIBs seem to need a combination of day and temperature to bloom, setosas and sibtosas appear to be triggered by day length only. Has anyone thought to use a spreadsheet with the beardeds to map both day length and temperature to see if a pattern emerges? Christy ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda Mann Year to year (and region to region) weather/climate effects sure don't make it easy to sort this stuff out! Pigments and patterns are easy in comparison. Sounds like your "cycle" plants aren't daylength regulated. Might be more like "summers" here. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
