Of the three Dykes introductions, Thisbe, Harmony and Lustre --
looking at phenotypes as they grow in my garden, behavior...and last,
Check List data -- I would have supported the following:

Thisbe -- no C. L. parentage
aphylla 'look' (good & well spaced branching)
           never reblooms

Harmony -- C. L. parentage aphylla x ?
conjecture by some: aphylla x pallida
short TB growth habit despite IB registration
no aphylla 'look' (POOR & high branching)
            never reblooms

Lustre -- no C. L. parentage
           aphylla growth habit
           aphylla 'look'
           reblooms here

BUT, after I sent the message expressing doubt on aphylla in Harmony
the sobering thought hit me: What if Harmony and Lustre were received
in my garden swapped!?...10 to 20 percent of all incoming historic
cultivars have ultimately proved to be not as advertised.
...so I backed off my strong doubt of Harmony and went with "Harmony
is one half aphylla" at least until I give them another hard look in
blooming season with the thought 'what if you were swapped?...'

They are in consonance with McKee and Harrison (at least this once!).

We (pedigree runners) should really look at attempting to compile a
list of what is gold and what is dross in "Fifty Years of Iris."
