Before I became a judge I'd have given a resounding YES to your
question.
Even now, with close to a dozen shows judged (still a beginner by the
standards of many), I would really dislike being the sole judge for a
show (or the only one in a panel). But with at least one other judge to
interact with, I really enjoy it. I learn a lot, and contribute a lot.
I have heard that in some areas competition at shows gets unfriendly.
That atmosphere would change my outlook significantly, I must admit.
