Hi Allison,
Best of luck to you with your crosses. Once you get into the new crosses
every year you don't have to wait so long, as you always have something new
upcoming in the new bloom season. The first year's crosses are the longest and
hardest to wait for.
Once you get involved in crosses it is hard to resist doing some every year
and even lack of space is not a strong enough deterrent.
