Donna, is this on another server or are you prowling the archives?
Podsetting ability definitely could use some improvement here!
Anybody care to share thoughts on how to identify viable pollen? I
hunted for information last year about stains that would turn 'live'
pollen various colors different from dead cells, but don't know which
methods would work best for "kitchen science", which stains are most
toxic, easiest to get, easiest to use, see, etc. And don't know if a
microscope would be needed to see them. I'd prefer something I could
see with a 10X pocket lens (or no hands with 3 pairs of 3.25X reading
glasses).
