I grow mine in good loam, with some grit and sand to ensure reasonable
drainage.  It gets plenty of moisture during the early part of the year,
when it is growing strongly and is kept fairly dry over the summer and
autumn.  I give it a liquid feed after flowering.  It flowers beautifully,
with large flowers.  A very nice Iris indeed.
