Dennis is right about the data layout and we are working on increasing
the number of fields that the data is laid into. We will have to go back
and reformat the '89 and '79 to match the same standard. It just takes
time. Each checklist has approximately 10,000 records in it. Imagine
having to insert 7 tab marks in each of those records. Now multiply by
four. We will get there. The step after that is to get the parentage
into a format that can be used by a genealogy program so you can do
parentage searches and family trees. (And no I don't have any ideas
about how to do that yet - and think about the problem of the same cv
being both mother and father in different trees)

The search engine continues to be upgraded so that it is faster.

If you would like a different policy, let the AIS board know. I am up
for it.
