I put the dried seed in the freezer after harvest.  Not stratified, in pill
containers.  They germinate okay after taking out and planting in the fall.
It's a neat method to store and that way I don't worry about weevils getting
into them.  I don't know that weevils attack iris seed, but I can't see why
they wouldn't either.  The bird seed I have sure gets turned to meal if it
doesn't make it to the bird feeders pretty soon.  I have always let the
seeds dry before storing them this way, though.
