The basic books are great for some people's yards in some parts of the
world <g>  And are probably adequate for most backyards for a few iris
cultivars.  But for those who are collectors or hybridizers, a lifetime
of experience & experiments & changing weather doesn't answer all the
questions.  Except maybe in iris heaven, tho I have my doubts about that
too!

I expect I will have to start all over again learning how to grow irises
in the different soil and microclimate on top of my ridge.
