Either last year or year before last, (I'm not sure of the year.) the Region 15 newsletter published the ten irises that got the most votes from the region as tallied on the ballots sent in to the symposium. It was very interesting because it was quite different. The regional VPs, who collect and count the ballots, could very easily publish the results for their regions IMOP.

Now thats GREAT! I don't see any reason you couldn't start in your own region.
No need to wait on the AIS if you are interested in a regional popularity
poll, say one that includes all types of cultivars and is all or part
write-in. In fact, as a volunteer, I'll bet you will get support as well. I
don't know about your region, but if you were in my region I would certainly
support your effort by posting the results on our regions web pages. And I
know the folks would be interested in the results.
