None of those happened in one or two generations, particularly the ones with
quality.>>
Neil, I get impatient sometimes. I'm getting seed from this year's crosses
and getting impatient for next year's work! At the end of each year I tend
to regret my work in the pink & orange lines. Most bloom at the end of my
season and are not always fertile due to heat and wind. And I'm often
distracted. Often by the heat and wind! LOL!

Part of my frustration has to do with the HAPPENSTANCE cross. The one I
can't get! Last year was the first time it bloomed for me and it was totally
sterile. Nothing worked either way! Especially frustrating since I know it's
working for others. Then, this year it didn't bloom! A cross to LOTUS LAND
didn't take!

I have several things going in the pink direction. I have 30+ seedlings
left to bloom from that 1810 cross that gave 2 (of three) rebloomers last fall.
One had light creamy beige standards and pink falls with an overlay of
purple. It was good and I'm carefully applying the soaker hose to these sibs.
They are looking good despite the drought and heat. Anything can happen. This
cross alone should have taught me patience!

In a way, I shouldn't complain. I have several pink seedlings with lace
from the MM X KY WOMAN CROSS. One has been named. There are other
possibilities in the seedling patch for pink. Unfortunately, only one that might produce
rebloom. MEMPHIS MISS X FRAPPE. I have so many new pinks that next year
MUST be better! LOL!

Neil, thanks for your help. It is always appreciated. Each time, I learn a
little bit more!

Anyone have an exercise for learning patience? ;-)
