It may be a bit early to pull the plug. Perhaps with some preplanning,
like get the idea into more heads a few months in advance and try again
during the coming year- giving the people from the southern hemisphere an
opportunity to participate as well. Save the materials you got this year and
build on it.
I'm not the one doing the study, but I'd certainly encourage you to not
quit now.
