Dear Ellen: I resisted anwering the comment above, but think it appropriate
to mention that I tectorum really must have shade this far south. In our
heat wave it has been a bit unhappy in foliage, (partly drought). I have
given waterings and it is looking quite well again.  I am growing seedlings
from it, but none bloomed this first year. People remark on the lovely
foliage of I tectorus, which is a lighter green than the TB's, and and not
