Linda, I would not think in Wisconsin you'd have to pot. Your
nights are much cooler than ours are and the soil temperature is much
lower there. As I said earlier this morning, our morning low was 82o. I
cannot remember when our morning low was in the sixties, what I would
expect for you in WI at this time of the year....yes, rocks or bricks will
prevent heaving, and that is a good idea for rhizomes planted late.
