I plead guilty. In the interest of perhaps receiving mercy from the judges,
responses here are done by clicking the reply button and typing. Since the
"many" responses far out number the "few" to ADMIN the error results from
technique and not intent. Previous instructions have been to not change the
subject (tag?) line unless there was a significant change. Perhaps
instructions should have been do not change the subject (tag) unless it was
tagged ADMIN (sounds like an if then statement). Perhaps the tag ADMIN could
be accepted to post only when it comes from Johns computer or responses go
back to him directly. This solution would minimize one problem. I have no
idea how complicated doing so would be or how practical.
The other absence of tag deficiencies seem to result mostly from the original
posts when they are initiated. I suspect many, like myself, simply click a
reply button and write. You have been kind to correct some of my tag failures
in the past when responding to a post. We should all do this for others in
the future. Me being new and all (etc. for Yankees) we should do nothing to
retard, intimidate or complicate participation by new people.
Tags are of immeasurable value. They allow me to chase subjects only vaguely
recollected without having to repost a question and sort through the
misinformation I previously received, sifted, sorted and filed. <belly laugh>
