Yesterday I started a new iris bed. The desirable ground has been
converted to beds, slowly but surely. Now I'm faced with the bed rock
areas. A raised bed is the only option. Initially I thought of an
octagon or hexagon form. I settled on a pentagon shape.
I was stationed in the Pentagon one section to the west of the impact
area. So I have decided to refer to it as my Pentagon Garden. It
would be nice to plant it in red, white and blue.
The Post Commander rejected that idea. She also rejected my thoughts
of putting it in the front. Her reason was leave me some green. And I
married because of her taste for the finer things. Me, flowers etc.
It is probably my last addition. I have to reduce the breadth of my
efforts to maintenance. Age is sneaking up at about 60 MPH.
