OT-CHAT: Mildred Harder Birthday

Greetings,

Some of you may have met Mildred Harder, the mother of the late Larry Harder. She will be 90 yrs old and her family and the local iris group near her home in Nebraska are helping her celebrate her birthday on June 29th, 2003. She was always very supportive of Larry's plant interests. She is a lovely lady and her generosity and kindness are very well known. If you have ever visited Larry's garden at their home in Ponca, Nebraska, then you know what a sweet person she is. Many of you probably knew Larry, who passed away almost 2 years ago. He was a very active irisarian on the local, regional and national levels. If you knew Larry or have ever visited his garden, please consider sending a birthday card to Larry's mom, Mildred. I know that she would appreciate it and also would appreciate hearing from some of you who knew Larry and his love for irises, AIS, and iris people.
