Not to be a party pooper, and I do like the idea of photos on CD-ROM,
but in a few years CD-ROM's will be obsolete. The new technology is
called DVD. Yes, it is a new drive, but will hold 10 times the amount
of data that the CD-ROM can hold. Somewhere in the vicinity of 8
gigabytes for a start. This technology will also combine Visual, Sound
and Video all on one media. The movie industry, record and computer
companies have all agreed to this format. I believe some computer
manufactures have already incorporated the drive on their computers.
I have many wonderful photos of historics just sitting here. If anyone
moves forward with the idea of getting them on CD-ROM/DVD I could send
copies.
