Some transplanted Texans here in MS remembered Texas Independence
in thought only as will be the case with Cinco de Mayo, Ada May, and
Juneteenth
I am sorry you lost buds on some of my children. Quite possibly
these are left-over buds from last fall that didn't make it then and
tried to bloom too early this spring. This sometimes happens here,
but there is bloom later that makes up for this early tragedy. DIME
SPOT has a tall stalk here at the present with more buds down in the
fan. The bigger the clump the more likelihood you'll have bloom at
the normal time. I think the outer fans protect the inner fans from
the cold in such antsy rebloomers.
