Hi Donna,
I've been told they're more warm-climate friendly, but Immortality as
you may have read before seems to like it's share of cold so you may just get
enough of that being borderline 7/8. Some years it may be just cold enough
for long enough that the ones that like chill do well, the ones that prefer a
warmer winter suffer. This is all theory right now. My season is taking
longer to get underway than last year...by this time last year I had stalks
forming but that cold spell we had a couple weeks ago (freezing or near
freezing here) I think pushed that back. I had trouble getting LADY FRIEND
to do well and I loved that one...John Bruce sent me some of his because his
grows like a weed so we'll see what happens this year. I do believe
sometimes you just get a weaker rhizome ...and you can't tell because it
looks just fine. Theories, theories, theories....

zone 8 of SC, Myrtle Beach but so close to zone 7 that we also get some
colder than average winters
