AIS: Eligibility of Irises for AIS Awards

Laetitia,

There is no "nomination" of irises for awards. Every introduced iris
variety automatically becomes eligible for the HM award two years (bearded
irises) or three years (beardless irises) after introduction. After that,
winning one award is the ticket of eligibility to be considered for the
next higher award. The annual AIS Judges ballot is, in essence, the
eligibility list. It is distributed to all the Judges, of course, but I am
not aware that it is publicly available anywhere.
