Hi All,
Just got my copy of Tall Talk today, this is the publication put out by
the Tall Bearded Iris Society.
I just wanted to let Linda Mann know that her Umbrata concept may be
catching on.
There is an article by Keith Keppel called Recycled Fashions.
This is what it says about Umbrata: A term seen occasionally in internet
iris talk is "umbrata". Not offical and not properly defined, it more
-or- less refers to irises in which the darker fall pigmentation is not
uniform, but shies away from the petal edges leaving a lighter band.
Then it goes on to mention Lowell Baumunk's 2000 introduction "Lights
Camera Action" as a prime example of the umbrata concept.
