Hi Linda
I was looking through my records of irises purchased to see if I could find a reference to
Chinese Treasure (I couldn't) .....and I think I haven't been paying much attention - I can't
believe the numbers of irises I have purchased and I have no idea what happened to them.
What exactly is the problem with the heavy rains.....do the irises rot or do they just
melt away ?

Heavy rain (2 to 3 inches in 24 hrs) or prolonged rainy spells (a week with half an inch per day) during heat of summer (mid to upper 90s), <especially> following a month long <hot, dry> spell is death for some cultivars here. In the past, that has been especially true for some Blyth cultivars I've tried (not to pick on B - true for selections from many other hybridizers selecting in dry summer climates).
