In this neck of the woods, I've had Miniature Dwarfs bloom as early as March
18, when I was growing them. But when Standard Dwarfs start blooming here at
this time, it's a first. PLUM WINE decided it was going to bloom overnight,
no matter that low 20s were forecast, so I brought it in and let it perfume
the living room when it opened today. But outside, JEWEL BABY is determined
to bloom overnight tonight, and WHAT, AGAIN? is right behind it. Well,
they'll just have to take their chances. I see several SDB seedlings with
incipient bloomstalks, and even a couple of TBs. In the seed pots, from which
I haven't yet removed the pine straw mulch, there are numerous 3-leaf sprouts
up now. I think it's gonna be a strange year. -- Griff
