Not at all. The arilbred medians are probably the very best arilbreds for
your climate. (The dwarf bearded species are usually hardier than the TBs).
It's worth emphasizing that the arils themselves tend to be quite
cold-hardy. When arilbreds die during the winter, it's either from too much
water or from tender *TB* ancestry. The latter factor is something that is
less of a problem with the arilbred medians.
I've gardened in zone 5 for the last three years; not as cold as your
territory, of course, but hardly mild either.
