Today in my postal mail, a Wayside Gardens catalog came.
Now while I don't think I'll be ordering from them, I did
notice the photos in their catalog. They show Iris ensata
(I.kaempferi), some L.A.I. flowers, some Iris foetidissima
seed pods split open, then they show variegata Iris pallida
and Iris pallida 'Argentea variegata'. On the next page they
show Siberian Iris, one named 'Steve' is a real looker,
(in my book). Then they show a YELLOW Iris, they say its
the 1st Yellow Amoena and under its photo it says ...
'Butter and Sugar' - two time winner of the highest
American Iris soc. award.
As you all were talking about catalogs and fales names, etc.
I'm wondering just how true these are?
