Actually, my friend has been out in San Francisco house-hunting, so I
couldn't ask him where he was looking. But it sounds just right. He
thinks the name of the area is Excelsior. There's a mountain that Market
Street detours around. He has found a home on the top, backing up to a
park. Full sunlight. Irises on the properties all around. I think he's
hit pay dirt. The realtor was to swing the deal today.
Griff Crump, along the tidal Potomac near Mount Vernon, VA, where we are
heading into our third freezing night after I finished, on Sunday,
cutting off all the frozen center leaves from the week before. Can't
