AIS: Regional Newsletters

From: Irisborer@aol.com

As you know, I'm trying to get the local newsletter information corrected for
the web page. Why? Well, I don't know about YOU, but I like to know what's
going on around me. While I was RVP, I enjoyed receiving newsletters from all
over - and I'd like to subscribe to a few of them..... some because they're
within driving distance and I may want to attend something like a judges
school or a great speaker or garden tour.... some because the climate is
similar ... and some because they're so darn good I want to steal ideas!

I don't think I'm alone in this..... there are some gems out there and you
should really consider subscribing to a few. Or maybe some of the Regional
Editors would like to get into a newsletter exchange ..... since we can all
learn from each other.

One thing I'm learning is that subscriptions prices are LOW! Now, what I'm
asking for is the cost to subscribe to a regional newsletter if you live
OUTSIDE the region.... seems like some of these are underpriced!

And finally, I received a good question from one respondee..... did I want
information on AFFILIATE newsletters too... since some are very high quality.
ABSOLUTELY. If you know of an affiliate or club that publishes their own
newsletter - let me know about it.... I need the same information - that is -
the REGION, the name of the Affiliate, the editor's name & address,
subscription cost, issues/year and brief description of content.

I'll start by offering our own.... The Irisborer, newsletter of the Western NY
