Greetings,
I picked up a copy of the Martha Stewart Living Special Gardening Issue
(March, 1999) last evening at the grocery store and I woud like to call the
attention of the list to a nice article therein on Dr. Currier McEwen, the
distinguished hybridizer of Siberian and Japanese irises. The focus is on his
Siberians. It discusses his hybridizing history, his methods, and his plans
for the future. It includes some photographs of his breeding garden, and
informal closeups of blooms of some of his introductions, identified by name.
Those interested in this subject may wish to seek it out.
