HIST:Karen's Purple Dwarf 'Flag'

From: Karen Jellum <7kjellum@3rivers.net>

Mike Lowe, thanks for the additional possibility of Cyanea for the dwarf
purple flag in the deserted cemetery. However, as far as the height being 6
inches, that is just a guess. My husband would certify that I am not
accurate on guessing measurements. Six inches is probably a little high as
I was adding if it had been given a little more water and no competition
from grass and cattle stamping on it. Perhaps that make no difference.

I think the picture of Pumila Atroviolacea looks more like I remember it.
As someone said, to be accurate on the identification, I need to plant one
from the cemetery next to one I order. I will need to dig one up from the
cemetery as it is about 30 miles away on gravel road in an absolutely
deserted area.

Thanks for your consideration. Many of the settlers in the cemetery area
came from the midwest where they had previously lived.
