Not to put words into anyone's mouth, but I think what Betty was suggesting
was crossing sporadic rebloomers (with modern form) with reliable rebloomers.
That way you hopefully get modern form seedlings which inherit some genetic
tendency for rebloom from both parents....of course, hybridizing is rarely
that simple.
