Take a white garbage bag or other suitable plastic material at hand, and
use scissors to cut the material into strips of the desired size and
length. Cut a slit into one end of the strip of material, and pull the
other end of the strip through the slit to make a loop and cinch. Mark
the identification on the strip of material in permanent ink.

Since the material is supposed to be biodegradable in sunlight, this is
a temporary measure for the "emergency home-made pod tags" or shipping
tags.
