Mine have done just fine. You may be thinking that the vinegar will turn the soil totally acid. Not so unless you have an unending supply and totally saturate the soil. Just give a glug or too to the grass clump. Then wait and see. The grass will absorb most of the vinegar so their shouldn't be much if any for the iris. I only spray areas that do not include plants I want to keep. This type of treatment plan is not going to give you instant wilt like the TV commercials, though the White Top was totally fried by the next day.
