As I read Dennis's rant,
I couldn't help thinking how blest I've been. I. cristata has been
blooming about a week, lst time I've ever seen it, and it is a delicate, dainty,
little beauty. For some reason, there seem to be 2 colors, a lighter and
somewhat darker blue, both really lovely. My i. brevicaulis has multiplied
like made over the past year, and if it performs like everything else seems to
be doing this spring, we ought to see a multitude of bloom stalks. Can't
wait to see it with several at once, which will be a change from last year, the
lst year we had it.
