Christy, Im trying to remember TBs that might maximize the long narrow
look you describe & all the mental images I get are of falls that are
narrow at the haft, but broad at the end, some even bulge out towards
the end. How about banjo shaped falls? <g>
The <mystery> historic neglecta that Neil M and I have seen blooming
very late has small flowers on TB height stalks, with widely flaring
falls that may have a bit of a twist or wrinkle at the end. It's a
graceful thing - I can imagine something in that line with slightly
longer falls. I've not had success making crosses with this thing, but
it blooms very late & I haven't tried very hard.
I will send you some if you want, & maybe there are some others in that
small flowered but tall group that would work well. Or some older MTBs?
?? does that sound like what you have in mind?
