I bought one from a local nursery this past spring. It bloomed ( one flower
stalk) late this summer. I kinda hope it does spread around volunteers. It
was a beautiful spotted flower, IMHO. I have it in a raised bed, in
full/partail sun. I did not protect it for the winter. So I guess we'll know
the northern limits. I'm in SE Michigan.
