BULB: dutch iris

Well folks, another first for me this year! My dutch iris which were
planted a year ago, are putting up foliage! What I want to know is what
does this bode for their future? Will they grow and bloom again next
spring or is this it for them? Someone told me that most dutch are
treated as annuals, and then I was told they will come back year after
year like daffodills?
I'm not sure what to do with these little guys, so any help will be
appreciated.
