Ridicule? Ridicule indeed! Well, I depart from the norm on this business of
plant labels, preferring something unobtrusive myself, but I don't see why
anyone should feel they must defend their own preferences in this to their
guests. After all, AIS has a clear mission to educate and a remark to that
point with, perhaps, the gentlest suggestion that ignorance is pretty
widespred might not go amiss, if you were in the mood. In the face of Someone
Assuming a Tone of Ridicule I might be more inclined to observe that my garden
is my piece of Terra Firma and out there I am Empress and what I say goes,
idiocies and all, and that these last are basically pretty harmless in the
great scheme of things and what's it to them if I am happy. <snort>
