CULT: fertilizer/white fuzz

Last week I mixed a fertilizer following the Pierson's post from May 7 of this year.  All seemed well until this morning (1 week later) when I found a ring of white "fuzz" around all the plants where I had sprinkled the fertilizer.  I didn't get the chance to mix in the fertilizer with the ground as it started raining as soon as I finished.  The growth looks like some type of mold spores.  We are on the edge of wetlands and the grass is almost always wet with morning dew.  Can anyone help identify this and tell me whether I have a problem on my hands?  Thanks in advance.
